JUDAAIAnil Kapoor, Sri Devi, and Urmila Matondkar Judaai (The Seperation) is the story of a middle-class wife, Kaajal (Sri Devi) and her husband Raj (Anil Kapoor). Kaajal from the day of her marriage dreams of a life of luxury and riches. Kaajal's values are put to the test when Janhvi (Urmila Matondkar), the rich owner of the architectural firm, fall for Raj who works in her firm. Janhvi, who has recently returned from America, is fully ready to confront Kaajal by presenting her with an offer (a twist on Indecent Proposal) that will allow both Kaajal's and Janhvi's dreams to come true. This domestic drama hinges on changing roles: the wealthy Janhvi takes on the role of a traditional housewife, while Kaajal ventures of on a jet set life of riches. Kaajal slowly begins to see what she has really lost; learning true happiness is not what you have, but who you have it with is that what really matters. This blockbuster movie features several hit songs, including: "Mein Tujhse Aise Miloon" and "Mujhe Pyar Hua Allah Mian". JUDWAASalman Khan, Karishma Kapoor, and Rambha Judwaa (Twins) is a story of identical twin brothers, Prem and Raja, both played by Salman Khan. The twin boys get seperated at a very early age of life due to some unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances. The boys grow up quite different, Prem a singer-entertainer and Raja a small time street romeo doing petty theft. As life passes, they come across two girls Karishma Kapoor and Rambha and become friends with them. Since the boys look identical, their girlfriends are often confused. Very often they endup with the other boy. This results in a number of interesting and comical situations. Ultimately, the truth is revealed by the parents and the right matches are made in the end on a happy note. Judwaa is a family entertainer consisting of six hit songs, including: "Tu Mere Dil Mein Basja," "Tere Aana Tera Jaana," "Tan Tana Tan Tan Tara Chalti Hay Kya Naun Se Bara," and "Duniya Mein Aaye."
KoylaShah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Amrish Puri The story of Koyla (coal) is set on a background of coal mines. The supreme leader of the town is Raja (Amrish Puri). The innocent people look up to Rajasaab and worship him like God. But the monstrous two-faced Raja along with his eccentric brother Brijwa (Salim Ghouse) secretly terrorizes and kills those very people. Shankar (Shah Rukh Khan) is a humble and mute servant of Rajasaab and unaware of Raja's evil ways. One fateful day Raja's eyes fall upon Guri (Madhuri Dixit) a simple village belle. Driven by lust to posses her, he conspires to marry her by sending a photograph of Shankar along with a marriage proposal. Gauri instantly falls in love with Shankar and fantasizes about being his bride. On the marriage day Gauri spots Shankar in the crowd and finds Raja as the groom. Shocked she faints, but Raja grabs her and completes the wedding ceremony. Gauri never submits to Raja and she is kept under guard at all times. One day she tries to hang herself, but Shankar breaks into her room and saves her. She comes to his hut that night and she lights a flame in front of the Gods. A flame of love which would envelope them both in fire. Gauri's brother returns from Dubai and comes to see her. Inspite of all the sufferings, Gauri puts a smiling face. But Shankar stops her brother and tells him everything. While attempting to rescue his sister, her brother is killed by Raja. While dying, he turns to Shankar and pleads him to protect his sister. Shankar grabs the hand of his beloved and escapes from the mansion to the jungles. Raja uses everything in his power - helicopter, army jeeps, armed gunmen - to hunt Shankar and Gauri out of the jungles. Finally they fall prey to Raja. The innocent Gauri is arrested and Shankar is brutally beaten and thrown off the cliff. Shankar and Gauri are separated. But does the tale end there? If yes, then who is eliminating all of Raja's men one by one? Has Shankar returned from the dead? Who is the person terrorizing Raja with his voice? If undying faith can move mountains, if true love can over come all obstacles... then Shankar is back! Back to his life. Back to his love. Back to finish an old forgotten story. A story that began with one single piece of coal. LaadlaAnil Kapoor, Sridevi, Raveena Tandon, Farida Jalal, Anupam Kher, and Shakti Kapoor Laadla (The Beloved Son) is the story of Raju (Anil Kapoor) who
lives with his disabled mom (Farida Jalal). One day Raju on his way
to a job interview saves the life of a rich textile mill owner (Anupam
Kher) who offers him a job in his factory which is run by his ambitious
daughter Sheetal (SriDevi). Sheetal's competitive attitude and open insults
result in her making several enemies in her industry. Rajuworks as a mechanic
in the mill and confronts Sheetal several times to get the workers proper
treatment. Raju's fairness for workers result in him being elected as the
union leader. Raju meets Kajol (Raveena Tandon), who also works in
the textile mill, and they fall in love Raju saves Sheetal's life during
an attempt by acompeting textile mill owner (Prem Chopra) to eliminate
her. Sheetal wants to win over Raju and makes an offer to marry him. When
Raju turns her down she forces his mom to agree to the marriage.Raju accepts
his mom's wishes and decides to sacrifice his love for Kajol. Sheetal expects
Raju to move in with her after their marriage and live in luxury, but Raju
refuses and continues to work in the mill.Tension arises between
Raju and Sheetal, when she fires Kajol out of jealousy. Also labor issues
cause the workers to go on strike. The competing mill owner plans to take
advantage of the situation and hires hoods to set the mill on fire.
Raju in his attempt to stop the fire is mistakenly arrested. Raju's mom
goes to Sheetal's house to clear matters but is insulted and told
to leave. The bad guys kidnap Sheetal.Will Raju be able to save Sheetal?
