The Taj Mahal Storybook & Playground tells not only the magical tale of The Taj Mahal but features hours of fun and learning with games,
building, coloring for children. The Taj Mahal Storybook and Playground combines original paintings (not computer-generated art) with
interactive programming to bring the story and the culture behind it to life. The storybook comes to life as elephants pick flowers, fireworks erupt,
drummers drum and the monument built in honor of Mumtaz Mahal becomes a reality from the dreams of her husband, Shah Jahan. A child can
follow the narrator's telling of the story from beginning to end in about fifteen minutes, or spend hours exploring the CD-ROM, which is
compatible with both MAC and PC systems. Clicking on any page of the story, children will discover new routes and surprises, clicking to see blocks move, builders build or find out more information about the characters, the building process and even fun facts of the Taj in the Tell Me More section.

The Playground features Puzzles, Taj Builder, Snakes and Ladders, Taj Workshop and even a 3-D Taj to take a magic carpet ride. The classic
board game Snakes and Ladders comes to life on the computer as kids can improve their numbers skills and try their luck against the computer.

The Taj Workshop offers the child things that they can print, color and make outside of the computer. This element of the beyond-the-computer activity built into the CD-ROM is designed for the child to take his or her own product and meaning from the and share it with family and friends.

The puzzles help build the visual memory skills as children try to piece together different scenes from the storybook. For the budding architech,
the Taj Builder lets children create your their own version of the Taj Mahal letting children use their imagination for design.
